Since 2013, La Route Randonnée Découverte pays tribute to La Route du Sel and offers its hikers and hackers in a friendly and festive spirit to discover the by roads and lanes of Occitania.
Led by Vanessa Sandoval, She wishes to introduce and share with participants her love of the Horse and the local heritage, with the help of her team of volunteers, attentive and involved.
To the spirit of discovery and promotion of a natural, historical and architectural heritage and its landscapes tothe rhytm of the horses. We discover exceptional sites and villages classified among the most beautiful in France.
An experience to share with riders from all equestrian disciplines with which are also associated ; horse driving, hikers and mountain bikers, who find themselves in the same communion with nature.
A pleasure of the senses that continues with the discovery of the local gastronomy that is offered to them each day.

In the saddle on the 12th edition from the high plateaux of Aubrac to the Grands Causses regional natural park via the Lot valley.
This summer, the Discovery Hiking Route takes you riding an exceptional environment where the beauty of the landscapes, fauna and flora come together.
This new route will be an opportunity to feel the authentic territory through landscapes of great diversity but also with meetings with locals and culinary discoveries.
Aubrac, this land of traditions from which exudes a serenity that one does not feel anywhere else. Large spaces that accommodate herds of Aubrac cows. We will then descend into the Lot valley, calm and serene, to the Grand Causse where the wildlife awakens all the senses.
An adventure to get off the beaten track, at your own pace, in complete complicity with your horse, his hiking pole or his bike.

TRIBUTE TO JEAN YVES BONNET
This month of May 2023 it is with great sadness that we said a last goodbye to Mr. Jean Yves Bonnet who went to paradise to join his horses. Above all, a horseman, an emblematic figure and pioneer of horse riding, he leaves us with many life lessons. Precursor of tourism and equestrian shows Jean Yves Bonnet, who was nicknamed even when he was little, the child prodigy knew how to transmit essential values to hundreds and even thousands of enthusiasts of the “HORSE WORLD”. Practice gentle riding and high riding without spurs. Serving the horse before serving yourself is one of his mottos to which we must continue to pay homage. Sincere condolences to his family, friends and entourage.
