Since 2013, La Route Randonnée Découverte pays tribute to La Route du Sel and offers its hikers and hackers in a friendly and festive spirit to discover the by roads and lanes of Occitania.
Led by Vanessa Sandoval, She wishes to introduce and share with participants her love of the Horse and the local heritage, with the help of her team of volunteers, attentive and involved.
To the spirit of discovery and promotion of a natural, historical and architectural heritage and its landscapes tothe rhytm of the horses. We discover exceptional sites and villages classified among the most beautiful in France.
An experience to share with riders from all equestrian disciplines with which are also associated ; horse driving, hikers and mountain bikers, who find themselves in the same communion with nature.
A pleasure of the senses that continues with the discovery of the local gastronomy that is offered to them each day.

A 100% NATURE ride between the Lévézou Mountains and Lakes, and the Dourdou Valley.
This summer, La Route Randonnée Découverte invites you to the highlands of Aveyron to discover the Lévézou highlands, the Grands Causses Regional Natural Park, the Palanges Forest, and the wooded Dourdou Valley in the Haut-Rougier region.
On horseback, in a carriage, on foot, or by bike, come discover this colorful ride of green, blue, and red. To begin this new "human adventure" in 2025, Lévézou will welcome us.
This land, where nature is preserved, gives way to calm and reverie thanks to the gentle landscapes. From hills and green meadows to clear waters, this is the starting point for this new ride.
At the rhythm of the horses' steps, La Route Randonnée Découverte has concocted a unique route for you along trails where rich and varied flora and fauna will color our days, between hills, pastures, lakes, causses, forests, valleys and Rougier. Panoramas that promise a feeling of space and freedom! La Route Randonnée Découverte is an opportunity to get off the beaten track and experience an authentic region through encounters with locals, tours, and culinary discoveries. It also offers opportunities for exchange and sharing among enthusiasts from all over France and abroad, regardless of their preferred discipline.

TRIBUTE TO JEAN YVES BONNET
This month of May 2023 it is with great sadness that we said a last goodbye to Mr. Jean Yves Bonnet who went to paradise to join his horses. Above all, a horseman, an emblematic figure and pioneer of horse riding, he leaves us with many life lessons. Precursor of tourism and equestrian shows Jean Yves Bonnet, who was nicknamed even when he was little, the child prodigy knew how to transmit essential values to hundreds and even thousands of enthusiasts of the “HORSE WORLD”. Practice gentle riding and high riding without spurs. Serving the horse before serving yourself is one of his mottos to which we must continue to pay homage. Sincere condolences to his family, friends and entourage.
